Free trial, better diary quality, and faster onboarding

Three updates shipped today: a free trial for new users, a major improvement to diary generation quality, and a shorter onboarding flow.

7-day free trial

New users now start with a 7-day free trial on the Basic plan. No credit card required. You get full access to connect up to five integrations, and your diary entries are generated with the same quality as paid users from day one.

When the trial ends, your account moves to the Free plan automatically. No surprise charges, no cancellation needed.

Better diary entries (prompt v6)

We rewrote the diary generation prompt from scratch. The previous version had a tendency to produce long activity dumps: listing every pull request, transcribing Slack conversations, or organizing entries by data source (with headings like “Slack” and “GitHub”).

The new prompt (v6) fixes this:

  • Entries are organized by topic, not by data source. Your diary reads like a diary, not a dashboard.
  • Length is controlled. Entries stay between 300 and 800 words, regardless of how much data came in.
  • Each integration has its own curation rules. GitHub entries summarize your work in a few sentences instead of listing every PR. Slack entries capture decisions and insights instead of reproducing conversations. Todoist entries show the overall picture instead of listing individual task titles.

The result: entries that are shorter, more readable, and focused on what actually mattered about your day.

Faster onboarding

Onboarding is now two steps instead of three. You set your diary format and language, then you are in the app. Connecting integrations happens from the main interface, guided by a persistent banner that walks you through: connect your services, then generate your first entries.
