Share your weekly and monthly summaries
You can now share weekly and monthly summaries the same way you share individual diary entries. Monthly summaries also got a writing quality update.
Share links for summaries
Weekly and monthly summaries now have a “Share” section on their detail pages. Click it to create a share link. Anyone with the link can read the summary without logging in.
Shared summaries also appear on your public profile page alongside your shared diary entries. Each summary shows a badge (“Weekly” or “Monthly”) and the date range it covers, so visitors can tell summaries and entries apart at a glance.
The share link works the same as for entries: you can create it, copy it, and revoke it at any time from the summary detail page. Here is an example of a shared monthly summary.
Better monthly summaries
Monthly summaries now use a topic-based format instead of the previous progress-tracking format. The new version includes:
- An opening paragraph that captures the month’s overall mood
- Sections organized by topic (what happened, how it felt) rather than a list of items that progressed
- A closing paragraph reflecting on the month as a whole
The goal is to make monthly summaries feel more like a letter to your future self. When you re-read a monthly summary six months later, you should feel the texture of that month, not just see a list of things that moved forward.
This change applies to all new monthly summaries generated from now on. Existing summaries are not affected.
Availability
Weekly and monthly summaries are available on the Basic plan and above. Share links and the improved monthly format apply to all summaries on those plans.
