New integration: Last.fm

Last.fm is now available as an integration. The music you listen to each day becomes part of your diary entry.

What it collects

When you connect Last.fm, deariary fetches your previous day’s scrobbles and pulls in:

  • Tracks: every song you played, grouped by artist and album
  • Top artists: the three artists you listened to most that day
  • Album art: cover images for your top artists’ most-played albums, displayed as highlight cards
  • Play counts: how many times you played each track, album, and artist

Your top three artists appear as highlight cards with album cover art and links to their Last.fm pages. The full track list is included in the diary text, organized by artist.

Setup

  1. Open Settings > Integrations and choose Last.fm
  2. Sign in with your Last.fm account to grant deariary read access
  3. Each morning, deariary fetches the previous day’s scrobbles and includes them in your diary entry

Last.fm session keys never expire, so authorization is a one-time step.

Why Last.fm

Music is one of the strongest memory triggers. A song can bring back an entire day. People who scrobble already have this data sitting in Last.fm. deariary turns it into a diary entry where “listened to Nujabes on repeat while working from the cafe” sits alongside your calendar events, commits, and check-ins.

If you use Spotify, Apple Music, or any other player that scrobbles to Last.fm, your listening history flows into deariary automatically.

Availability

Last.fm works on every plan, including Free. Free plan users can connect one integration total.
